Halloween or Reformation Day? Part One

Do you celebrate Halloween, All Saints Day, All Hallow's Eve, or Reformation Day? That is the question.

Today I share a bit of my Journey in life on these subjects. Where do you stand on them? Do you know anything about them or just celebrate them because it's what your family has done before you?

The Episode starts with a story, of course.

I grew up in southern Ca on the other side of the railroad tracks from Compton where the Riots happened in the 1960’s. Seeing bars on the windows of the homes were commonplace. I remember a burglar walking in the front door while we were in the backyard but Mom was just walking back in with a bowl of wet dogwood in her hand when she saw him. All of us children were right behind her and saw the funny picture before us. A short little crazy  German woman threatening a tall lanky black young man with a bowl of dog food as she yelled and screamed at him to get out of her house and stay away from her children. The poor guy didn’t know what hit him! He ran towards a side hall and tried to jump out the window but there were bars on the windows so he ran back out past Mom saying ok Lady, Ok Lady, just calm down..... (listen in for the rest of the story)

I also share a few ways that our family has spent our time on Halloween. Time to be in prayer, and in the Word of God to be led by the Holy Spirit in the way your should spend your time for the Kingdom.

I'd love to hear your stories of how you bring glory to God. Send me a recording here
